Painting With A Purpose

by Kim on March 7, 2012

The other night I went to a Delta Gamma Alumni event: Painting with a Twist.  The great thing about the event was that we set it up so part of the proceeds came right back to our chapter to give to the Delta Gamma Foundation.  Pretty nifty, huh?  For those of you who don’t know, Delta Gamma’s philanthropy is service for sight, so all the money we raise goes to help the visually impaired.  Another great organization that helps service for sight is TOMS.  You know that great, philanthropic shoe company that has the “One for One” motto, giving a pair of shoes to a child in need for every pair purchased?  Well now they have a sunglasses line that does the same one for one thing.  And better yet, TOMS has teamed up with none other than Delta Gamma to fight vision impairment!

Anyway, we painted a fun flower.  Here are some progress photos.

And if you want to see the other pictures from the event (photos of people painting), check out this link.
